African Entertainment Awards (AEA) is a prestigious night of recognition and celebration of goals achieved by Africans in the Entertainment Industry.  Once a year, Africans from around the world come together in a gland style to recognize and award deserving individuals that have contributed immensely to the development of African Entertainment in various categories such as Music, Art, Sports, Firms, Media, Events and other various Social Recognitions.

African Entertainment Awards was conceptualized in 2010 and have quickly gained momentum as the first and only African heritage award in Asia. AEA Malaysia is recognised by the viewing public and the media as the biggest event in Asia that acknowledges and celebrates the diverse talent that is truly African.

This year (2012) AEA Malaysia will be honouring the late “African Reggae Legend” LUCKY DUDE with a prestigious LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD as a charismatic person whom during his lifetime made a difference through his art, music and social messages which touched the hearts of many people.

Over his career he had devoted much of his musical attention to social problems which affected our society and his message was heard and felt all over the world. We would like to remember him as the legend that made a difference through his art, the African King of Reggae, South African Singing Peacemaker and an Original “Rasta Man”.

African Entertainment Awards (AEA) Malaysia 2012 is proud to honour Lucky Phillip Dube, the African Best Selling Artist and African Reggae Legend.

Performances from some of the most talented artists on the African music scene today such as Wiz Kid and Awilo Longomba, special appearance of stars from the Ghana and Nigerian Movie industry are a taste of what is to come for the 3rd edition of the Awards. Both mainstream and underground African stars are being lined up to perform, guest collaborations and a special tribute to the Reggae Legend are planned.
